Undocumented Monk Fix?

I just got beta so i'm not 100% sure.. but from all the videos I saw prior to beta 5 the 3rd strike of Fists of Thunder did not do its AOE. In beta 5, it definitely does. Seems to make the skill far more useful! I gave Deadly Reach a shot but i found myself preferring FoT due to its speed. Anyone else finding the same thing?

I believe the AoE component was always there but it's just very difficult to tell in videos and streams. I can't say for certain as I'm not in the beta, but we do have an ongoing discussion of all changes going on over in this thread if you want to find anymore changes that went under the radar.

The AoE damage was always shown in the skill descriptions on the official site, but it wasn't included in the game until just recently. You're right that it's a recent change.
