Greetings. I used to play this game with some of the regulars on US East battle.net a loooong time ago, before patch 1.10 through 1.11, then I kinda left due to the supreme lag and massive cheating that ruined the economy and even penetrated the trading forums here.

I left, for a stupid game called MapleStory, but had the decency to play Guild Wars at the same time, then came back here for a short time, but couldn't get into the game due to the high waiting times for games and the (even worse) lag than when I originally left. Went back to MapleStory and Guild Wars, but recently I find myself ... craving ... yearning ... it's as though there is a voice in my head, singing a sweet enchanting tune, telling me it's ok to come back to Darblo. (yes, I said darblo)

So, if anyone remembers me, HI!
Back on the "mf for hours finding barely anything worth keeping on mules until I eventually find one or two decent items" hunt, yet again. If anyone has any suggestions as it regards changes, or any new strategies for a mf sorc, please let me know!

Also, I've been noticing a lot of bots in games now. the spam bots are just overwhelming unless you put high lvl restrictions on your games. Additionally, I've noticed a lot of BAAL bots. Have the players decided to work in conjunction with the botters now? Sad state of affairs indeed ....

Also, Blizzard sorta kinda fixed those spam bots. You can filter messages now. /filtermsg "msg"

I've filtered www, .com, £ and $ so far, and quite rarely a spam message goes through. If one does, I either ignore them (which is permanent now aswell) or add another keyword from their gibberish

does that filter work in ALL games, or just in the game you're in?, also do you need to put the msg in the quotes or no?

As for MF sorcs, pure blizzard is a pretty good starting out build these days, able to kill andy and meph essentially naked. Once you gear then respec whatever.

Don't forget about all the lovely low level runewords like spirit, insight, lore, rhyme/splendor, smoke, etc.

It's permanent, and no, not in quotes. I'm not totally sure whether it's case sensitive. I'd think not

I've managed to get myself up to Hell Meph, and I found a Rising Sun Amulet so I respec'd to Meteor so that I can benefit from the +2 fire skills while using the fire absorb to tank hydras. Not the greatest idea, but I'm trying ....
