It's really unacceptable IMO. It's supposed to be an action game and that should come with the feeling that you are able to dodge attacks, especially when you have movement skills that are supposed to get you out of trouble.
The skeleton video he posted shows moreso how clunky it actually looks and they have fast attack animations too. It's like the game decides you got hit before you even see the swing.
It makes playing hardcore mode much less appealing because you can't rely on your reflexes to dodge attacks you're guarranteed to get hit once you are close enough. If this was some attempt to make running past monsters harder, fix the game design, dont make the game feel turn based.
I think any monster that gets in range getting 1 guaranteed his is fair and probably important for balance. With all the mobility in this game how easy will it be to just haul *** past every difficult fight in the game? If you want the answer to that just look at Diablo2.
If you don't want to get hit don't get in range.
I posed this on the official forums, hopefully they pay attention. I posted it under feedback cause unfortunately, I don't think its a bug :(

If this really is the case, it defeats the only element that makes the game interesting, the attempt to introduce fighting-game mechanics in the monk and similar dynamics.
Further evidence that the game really is a loss-leader in every respect, and upper management really isn't all that anxious to cannibalize WoW subs.
Absolutely cannot believe the Blizzard fanboys defending this garbage.
Absolutely can't fathom why you and the people like you(Fluffy/Permaximum) are on these boards to begin with. I have some reservations towards the game, but you guys seem to outright hate it. I am having a hard time seeing the reason for your presence here other than inciting flame wars.
There's been plenty of times since August this game has made me outright hate it. Mostly because it's not the game they showed us in 08. But like you, I'm still holding back final judgement until the actual release. If it ends up being a stinker worthy of hate, there would still be perfectly valid reasons to be on these boards, being that this is a DIABLO board, rather than a D3 EXCLUSIVE board. (like The B.Net Diablo site is.) If you don't want any criticisms of the game, stick to the official site. That's the environment they seem to be fostering over there.
