Maybe you disagree? Tell me why. This is obviously not a Magic Find set, if you can get these items, you already have a character you're doing your magic finding with, or you're rich.

First I choose Vile Ward > Death watch.
it has a lot less armor, but more Defense and Precision stat. where armor only controls physical damage, Defense controls all around damage.
I choose Marksman Grips > IK Gloves
IK has more Armor, slightly more precision, and more attack speed increase, but marks man has slightly more damage increase and increase to vit.
I had originally chose Quick draw > Inna's belt. I think mainly because I just didn't see Inna's belt. but I think I would pick Inna's belt and Soc it with a Radiant Ruby (+100 attack)
for the Rings I went with BK rings. they have more attack damage % add a lot of Vit and life leech.
for boots I choose Nats boots I like the precision and at this point needed another part of the set for the extra bonuses.
for an off hand I went with Ivory tower. for added defense and block chance res vit and pre.
other than that we chose the same gear.
and just so u know Defense =/= Armor.
Defense is a attribute that universal lowers damage, Armor is the stat on your gear that effect Physical damage.
I didn't realize armor and def weren't the same thing, thanks. I agree with you now on using Vile Ward.
Think I still like the IK Gloves best... I'd effectively be sacrificing +16-21% damage, 6 Precision, and a big chunk of defense for +32-37 Vitality. Guess it's my offense oriented mindset.
I really like the Ivory Tower idea, I didn't even look at shields. Unfortunately it leaves me a piece short on the Natalya's Wrath set. I didn't want to use Nats boots because that then breaks up my Zunimassa's Spirit set too.
I would be sacrificing the following:
.15 attacks per second
+41-45% Critical Hit Damage
+81-100% Life
+13-15 Resistance to all elements
Each Hit Adds +8 Life
Increases maximum Discipline by 7-9
Attackers Take +30-32 Damage
In order to gain:
+5% Chance to Block
+91-134 Precision
Regenerates 36.1-40.6 Life per Second
+19-57 Vitality
+591-694 Armor
+1 Random Property
Not sure it's worth it... I already have a ton of life regen from Spirit of Adventure and the 16 life per hit between the 2 bows. I suspect the vitality may not even be enough to cancel with the +80-100% life. I'll do less overall damage because I won't be attacking as fast. I'll lose the extra damage on criticals. I'll also be losing 13 to 15 to all resists and 7-9 max discipline. Are those four things worth sacrificing for 5% blocking, +91-134 Precision, and 600 to 700 armor?
I'm thinking that 5% blocking won't be a real big deal unless that number is drastically increased by some stat, and you didn't seem to think armor was that important. That leaves the Precision. If I'm struggling to land crits, then it might be worth it. If not, seems like I'm definitely missing out. Still convinced you should use the shield?
it's +5% off the base value of block rate which is 17-19% (I think for that shield, it seems to have a different skin) so about 1/5-1/4 of the attacks would be blocked. I'm wondering/hoping that one of the stats changes the block rate and increases it like Dex did in diablo 2 as well.
on a side note I'd like to point out the obvious advantage to using Gems, (+100 to any stat at max level? HELL YES!)
to a certain Extent I think I would trade any of those legendary items for some rares with OK mods and Max soc amount.
I don't know if you included the +30% damage on Natalya's Redemption into this (I'm too lazy to do the math), but you shouldn't, since it's already factored into the weapon's displayed damage.
Expect this to be nerfed, to the ground.
The number of open sockets will be higher, since the Blacksmith can create sockets in most, if not all of the items.
Good job putting this list together, but I don't know how long it will stay relevant with all the changes going on.
I didn't.
I do, but as it stands... You have to include it in your build.
I was basing the sockets strictly on what comes on the item by default.
Thanks, I know... I'm just bored because I still don't have access to the beta...
Yeah, but those level 14 gems will require lots of level 1-5 gems to make, not to mention gold. They won't be cheap on the AH either, since most likely there won't be a large supply of them in the first few months. Until they have a set of 10 from every type of gem (ideally per character, although that seems like a really long-term goal), so they can freely customize their gear anytime, players will keep crafting them for themselves. I know I will.
