Any theorycrafters planned out the ideal MF build ever since the items were posted and the skills changed?
As far as gear goes, I'm a little perplexed. Pretty much everything has 1 or more random property. If there are properties that add large +MF, I'm betting we won't be seeing a lot of cookie-cutter MF gear sets like in D2.
The most powerful D2 MF builds that weren't too gear intensive were (iirc) based on meteor/fireball, blizzard, firewall, and frozen orb. Nova was great but required some pretty sick gear to get decent fcr and mf. We really couldnt branch out too much because we had to drop 20 points into mastery for each element we used.
Now there's nothing stopping us from taking different dmg types!

^^ my attempt at an MF build (basically just a general pve build). Storm armor, virtuoso, astral presence, and familiar for AP regen. meteor, ray of frost, and lightning hydra for damage. teleport...yeah.
I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but I think that at this point doing this would be a waste of time. Bashiok said that the current item database is incomplete and affixes are not finalized yet, which is quite obvious when we look at items like the Visage of Giyua for example.
It would be really fun to theorycraft about stuff like this though.
Or any kind of cookie-cutter gear sets really. I think this is the thing I'm most excited about items. No more identical "unique" and set items. Yay for variety.![]()

All items are examples of what may appear in Diablo III.
They are not final. Expect more rainbows.
