Confusion about Crafting Recipes

Where do the artisan's recipes come from? Are they set so that as the artisan levels up, more recipes are populated? Do recipes drop from monsters? Both?

I spend a lot of time on this website and I am dumbfounded as to how this has slipped my mind. For instance, I was browsing the Beta Items Gallery and I see where there are a bunch of Master items that have +4 or +5 random attributes... did the artisans always have these recipes, did players find them and train their artisans, etc...

This could change upon release, but in the Beta, there's 2 places that Artisan recipes come from:

1) training: every time you train the artisan, they learn new recipes. Currently the blacksmith's recipes are static. They are:

2) specific recipes will randomly drop from enemies. Just use the recipe to teach the artisan the recipe.

Very informative, thanks Alabaster. On that note, have you had any recipes drop from enemies? Do they (the dropped recipe) look like a scroll or what?

yeah, I've had 2 recipes drop so far. The first one dropped on the first day, I don't remember what it was, but the 2nd one dropped yesterday in one of the defiled crypts. It was for Apprentice Rope Wrap (a 1-hand monk weapon). It's just a small book, I don't have any screens of the actual graphic used. I assume it would look the same as a Tome of Training, but I've never dropped one.

Mind if i ask something?
Since there is a shared stash, so practically can we have 1 account with all the high lvl crafter catering for all 10 characters?
Or is there a certain "skill tree/class specific product type" of sort of affliation that determines the end product they can craft?

Artisans are shared account wide, though I would imagine HC to have their own shared much like the stash.
