Go here, make a build, post it here and discuss!

Its hard to choose between all the WD skills because honestly they all look pretty good. The mana costs are astronomical compared to other classes resources, guessing it will be normal to have 2-3k or more mana at level 60 judging by the cost of some skills.

Witch Doctor endgame build with Gargantuan, Zombie dogs, poison dart, firebats, Spirit Walk and Grasp of the dead to round out the build just to keep mobs closer together.

Mongrel (I'll be damned if I call them Zombie Dogs) build. AoE shouldn't be a problem between minions and sacrifice. I added Crimson bats as a "boss killer. Anyone a better idea for this? Gargantuan with the boss-rune might be good but you still don't control that one directly.

what do you think of that?
copy/pasted from my post in the build thread in the beta discussion forum.
This one is a pretty basic pet-mastery witch doctor build. I shall code-name him the Veterinarian (he's a pet doctor!)

Skills:
Summon Zombie Dogs runed to Leeching Beasts (dogs get life leech, and share it with me!)
Gargantuan runed to Humongoid (for heavy lifting)
Acid Cloud runed to Kiss of Death (for AoE damage once the minions have things occupied
Mass Confusion runed to Paranoia (cancels out fairly low pet damage, and the confusion is nice too)
Soul Harvest runed to Siphon (self heal and power up)
Poison Dart runed to Flaming Dart (for boss types, single target spike damage)
Passives:
Zombie Handler (no brainer for a Vet)
Spiritual Attunement (because mana regen is supposed to be not as fast as wizards, even though it is about the same in beta)
Blood Ritual (pay half of mana with life, life regen)
Concept:
Fairly straightforward. 5 pets to tank, get in close (but behind pets) to Soul Harvest to power my attack up and heal myself, drop Confusion and Acid Cloud. Use Poison Dart on bosses. Hoping that Blood Ritual stretches out my mana, since I can self heal with both Soul Harvest and the life leech from the dogs.
Fun safety build; ranged dps loves you.

The first 4 skills all have slow effects, slowing everything down to a crawl.
The last 2 skills do damage to everyone in an area. Slowed mobs stay in the area longer.![]()
Lol. A fire and forget build (without perm pets):

Wasn't real sure on the passives with this build, but still. You'd use Fetish Army for defense. I can cast Fetish Army every 37.5 seconds (and it lasts 20 seconds). Everything is basically a fire and forget spell. I'm not sure if monsters will attack these spawns or go straight for me (I'm assuming the latter lol).
I'm going to see if I can go for a pet-less build as well:

The plan is to keep relatively close to enemies, constantly using WoZ as a barricade/snare while firing off the spreading DoTs. My mana costs are definitely going to be high, but hopefully that's offset by the runes/passives. I can recover half my life thanks to the runed Spirit Walk, so health shouldn't be an issue. I could always the heal via Soul Harvest rune effect if it becomes a problem.
