I believe that emulating a server would mean running their own server with monsters, npcs, items, etc. But the first step was getting to the character select screen. The second step is being able to create a game. Once they do that, all you'll probably able to do is just run around the world with no monsters or npcs. The emulating part comes after and that can take a long time. Creating a crack that just lets you run around in the world should be out in a few days.
They got into the town but launcher patch 10 mins ago killled it.
