Ok after my little test today I can say that there are more than likely a few cards listed as unsupported that actually do work.
I got an acer laptop with following specs :
Core 2 Duo T7200
Ati Mobility Radeon X1300
2GB DDR2
That graphics card is listed as unsupported yet I don't have a problem starting the game... obviously it's a ****ty card cause I only get 12 fps BUT it does let me run it so I'm guessing anything X1300 or higher should be listed as low.
Minor note :
fresh windows 8 test installation with vista x64 drivers (only ones that worked for my card) and I'm running D3 with the sandbox) nothing changed in D3 files so if someone can't load D3 they've got a driver issue.
Same here, got a Toshiba laptop with those specs:
Core duo T2400 @ 1.83 GHz
Ati Mobility Radeon X1600
3GB RAM
Graphics card listed as unsupported but I managed to run it by spoofing VendorID and DeviceID in the configuration file.
With shadows disabled and maximum textures I get 20 FPS steady.
I believe the Radeon X1600 has only 256 MB of video memory. How many fps do you get with textures on Low ? Also are you running the game in the sandbox ? Without any monsters etc... I'm guessing it might get a little worse during fights especially with 3 other people in the game.
Yes, it's got only 256 MB of memory. Changing texture resolution from high to medium doesn't have any effect on frame rate apparently.
I'm running the game in the sandbox, I wonder how much worse it'd get with monsters etc. I also wonder how much optimization they can do on the engine.
I just hope I won't have to change my laptop for some time still. :P
Does card of NVIDIA GeForce GT400 run?
Sorry for the double post, but I realised that this here may be the better thread to post my problem in :
I have a GTS 250, which is on your list as supported. WHen I try to start the game, I get a error message which says that my gfx card is not supported and I can not start the game. Then it opens up firefox and links me to the system requierements page on battlenet.
Edit : needet to update the drivers, that was all. The error message still apeared, but I am now playing![]()

Users with a Radeon 4830 are going to be defaulted to "High". The card performs similar to an 8800GT though, so I'd recommend "Medium".
There is no Ati mobility radeon 3200 HD but there is Ati radeon 3200 hd which is on low. Will it have any difference? (old pc ftw, gotta buy something new soon -.-)
i cant seem to find my video card listed here. i just bought a dell xps with a GT445m and an i7.
the Notebookcheck review can be found here:http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-...M.35835.0.html
to my underdstanding i should be able to play a medium resourse-using game like D3 on high settings with no prob, but again, if this is a real list, mine is notm listed. does anybody have any insight on this??
