Not trying to beat a dead horse I promise, but if they are TRULY data mining your pc information "which you agreed to when you installed the beta test software" then they also have your MAC address, and I would bet my home that they are mining that information on Bnet as well, and you can't change a MAC addy on a computer.

The client may check my MAC address, but I bet that it won't do the same for my router and that's the address B.Net will see. Even if they ban it, a router's MAC adresses can be changed.
