I'm on board with the xpac theory. A level cap boost with xpacs, especially since they are going with a more, "yes, you will reach the cap" model.

Scroll back a few pages on the news. They aren't going to increase the level cap in expansions. And that makes sense from a design perspective.

But they wouldn't add 40 levels in one expansion. The "level 100" must be some sort of internal identifier.

Scourge of Tristram sounds like an awesome title if, for a part in the game's story, you become corrupted and have to fight your way out of Hell to redeem yourself.

You guys have to keep in mind, that just because something is in the game files doesn't mean that the game actually uses it. All of these titles are most likely obsolete.

I was updating the PvP article in the wiki a few days ago, and noted all of the datamined arena map names. As we've recently learned that there are only 2 working maps and that the devs really haven't done any work on pvp since last year's blizzcon, that certainly goes to underline Hardrock's point. Lots of stuff gets thrown into the game files during development, often just to stake out space and to be fleshed out later. If at all.
