Smiter Open Wounds / Poison Question

Hello everybody!

I built a pretty powerful smiter for ubers. I have 101% CB from Last Wish (61%), Venom Grip (5%) and Guillaume's Face (35%). As such, I use the Gore Rider boots exclusively for their 10% chance to Open Wounds, to stop the life regeneration of the ubers.

If I replace Gore Rider with another pair of boots, loosing Open Wounds in the process, can I simply use a low poison damage sc (say +1 poison damage per second) instead, and still stop the ubers from regenerating?

As the long as there's poison damage being applied (no matter how little) and they're not immune it works.

You could also just use Drac's, but I guess 100% CB is paramount to the builds effectiveness :azn:

Does posion cut off regeneration like OW does?

You can get 10 OW from bloodcraft belt, or 25% from draculs. 96% CB and 101% CB has very little difference mathmatically anyway. (Some sources even say CB is capped at 95, and some say it's capped at 100).

As long as some form of damage is being dealt every frame there's no positive regen. If you can put a fire attack under the ubers that deals damage every frame (like Fire Wall) it'll do the same thing

Oh I didn't know that, thought only OW cut off regen completley.

This, smite doesn't carry elemental damage from any source.

Sometimes it shows when you haven't used a certain char in a couple of years xD
