I wonder why you make podcasts and then discuss about things you have no full knowledge off? It's really no fun at all listening to you guys speculating about things, drawing bad conclusions and simply discussing stuff that is not true. So, one small suggestion: make your podcasts after the dust settles down, some things ale clarified and explained and then the quality of podcasts will be much better.
In episode 28 you speculated about passive skills, about skill system and it was simply boring to listen to you when I KNEW the stuff you were talking about is wrong. So, wait a couple of days next time and refrain from making podcasts based solely on some shreds of information and rumors.
Well the plan was to post those 2 podcasts right at midnight when the NDA ended. But thanks to the DoS attack on the site, that was impossible and stuff got delayed, to the point that we might as well have done what you said, and recorded part two after all the full/official info came out. Oh well.
In addition to what flux said regarding the last double pod, our regular podcasts are based on the news released that week and from our own gameplay experience. As the game isn't released yet it's a given the podcasts will contain speculation.
Thanks for that tip though.

i disagree w/ Muadib.
Prior to the recent info-storm since this past weekend, there really wasn't much news to report on. So some of the TDPs started to open up a speculative debate on many what-if scenarios, and I found these quite enjoyable. I mean, we're basically listening to a bunch of really dedicated fans giving their better-than-educated guesses about how things might shape out. And it's not like they were trying to fawn it off as truth. It was obvious speculation. And I found it a really fun way to pass the time while I was going stirr crazy for real updates (e.g., the ones that came out last weekend).

i just signed up
my first post on this site
just wanted to say i really enjoy the podcasts, i actually dont think theres enough of them
i try to listen to all the diablo podcasts i find and diablo inc is definatly one of the best if not the best
with regular 30-50 minute podcasts of a variety of intelligent, hardcore d1+d2 gamers opinions, i just love it
more content speculation please![]()
how come elly never does a podcast with the rest of the cast?
Yes, all that we can talk about now is really just speculation...but isn't that part of the fun of following a game for the four or so years that we all have? I know it says I signed up this month but that's just because I forgot my account info here. I came back because of the podcasts, hearing someone else speculating along the same lines that I am, and just being THIS passionate about a game is refreshing. I come from the stale world of WoW, and let me tell you that cynicism runs rampant there.
Being able to speculate and conjecture about what is coming, what is good, what is bad, and all that goes with that is necessary to be involved in as big a game as D3 will be.

I agree with you guys, that speculating/discussing about things is fun. My only gripe was that they speculated on things that were plain wrong at that time. I just think that those two podcasts would have been much better if it they were done on Monday evening after we got all the info about the press event and than let the discussion/speculation begin![]()
