Just had a good idea; character titles.

Diablo II Titles=
Normal Difficulty: Sir, Dame
Nightmare Difficulty: Lord, Lady
Hell Difficulty: Baron, Baroness

Hardcore character titles:
Normal Difficulty: Count, Countess
Nightmare Difficulty: Duke, Duchess
Hell Difficulty: King, Queen


Diablo II: Lord of Destruction Titles=
Normal (softcore) character titles:
Normal Difficulty: Slayer
Nightmare Difficulty: Champion
Hell Difficulty: Patriarch, Matriarch

Hardcore character titles:
Normal Difficulty: Destroyer
Nightmare Difficulty: Conqueror
Hell Difficulty: Guardian

I think it would be a great idea to have titles that are tied to your achievements that we know will be in the game after playing SC2.

Example #1 Kill 1,000 Fallen = Achievement Earned/New Title Earned -Bane Of Fallen
Example #2 Slay the Skeleton King = Achievement Earned/New Title Earned -Usurper

I think it would add a lot of variety to the mix. What do you guys think?

I think that if you think up titles, you'll get a thousand titles in the end...?
Unless one is replaced by the other, that way we all will have the same title in the end :(

You would be able to choose what title you want to display(from the ones you've earned). Like the way you select which portrait you want to show off in SC2.

Its definitely nothing game breaking, just a little extra feature. It wouldn't affect the game in any way. Just the same thing as showing off portraits in SC2. Which also Diablo 3 might have portraits as well.

Titles are a nice feature in WoW, so there might be a lot of negativity towards them in this community, but it is a cool idea, in my opinion.

In WoW you have overlap / bookmark (or whatever you call it in English) in your character sheet where you can browse through all your titles and choose which one you want to be displayed.

It was fun having titles in WoW and I can't think of a good reason why it would be detrimental to have them in D3, so bring them on.

Im not a big clan fan, but that title thing should be saved for that!
I also was not a big fan of the D2 titles, i like my character name just like i typed it!

But some people like to have their clan name below their char names and stuff.
IMO its better to keep the screen clean from any typography stuff ala MMO.
I like how they picture the bosses names at the top of the screen with their health bar but thats another story!
