trav running sorc?

Hi all,
Returning player, I'm playing through as a fireball orb sorc at the mo, just hit hell and I'm running into immunes, they are a pita but whatcha going to do? :P I want to run travincal and kill the high council hunting for high runes (I don't trade for runes) I played an H'din last ladder so I didn't have to remember the immunities of the trav area, so what elements are going to work the best? orb/cl, orb/fireball? I haven't used any of my resets yet :P

The non-boss council members are either FI or CI. Ismael is always FI with the possibility of becoming Physical immune. Geleb is always FI/LI, Torc is always FI/CI.

I would just take Blizzard and let the merc deal with Torc or even skip him.

hmm, I'm just doing meph runs now, I'll have to see what gear I can scare up I may just stick with orb/fireball + merc until I can get the runes for infinity (they call it that because it takes forever to get the Hr's for it legitimately )

Why not just run the superchests in Lower Kurast? You can basically count on finding at least one HR every couple of hours. Getting the runes for Infinity took me a weekend.

If you insist on running the council I'd second a pure Blizzard build. It would also be the most efficient build for Mephisto and once you have your BERs, running those damn cows for an Infinity base works great with Blizzard too.

Yeah meph runs are good but make sure you clear all durance lvl 3 if you can take out those council members. Consider the other runs too:
andy
pits (clear all)
mausoleum (clear what you run into)
chaos (clear all)
eldrich
shienk
etc.

LK can be very unrewarding as well. You generally only hear the success stories, but I have done 15,000+ runs without any result.

My secret is not caring for HRs anymore. Two days after I did that I was able to make my first Grief.
