The interesting thing is some on them just don't translate well.

most of us know Latin based ones but I have heard some Spanish ones that I had to have explained to me after they were translated and WB has had to explain a few of the Finnish ones in the forums.

Another fun source of quotes is Ambrose Beirce! He's the original gangsta of cynics! He has a book called "The Devil's Dictionary" that is full of cynical definitions of words. It was awesome when I bought it, cause with other stuff I bought and what I paid with, the change was $6.66! I thought it was funnier than the cashier did it seemed. :grin:

You shouldn't draw the conclusion that it's good if you suffer or risk your life for its own sake. That would be like promoting Russian roulette the revolver as the prize.
