"The cats out of the bag."
That...
"Curiosity killed the cat."
As kitty with paws tried to...
"Toe the line."
Which the result looks a little something like this...
Do tigers have a tendency for behavior like a "small" cat would have? Like chewing on cords?

My superiors go by this motto though one of 'm regularly takes it to "give a man a fire and he's warm for a day. Set him on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life."
"And what does kill you, leaves you dead."
I'm sure Bob can help you out telling y'all I could never come up with something that clever.
I heard this one on Criminal Minds... they always use the best quotes to close out each episode:
“Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars.” Kahlil Gibran
Edit: wowsa, how perceptive is this quote from the same dude
“The reality of the other person lies not in what he reveals to you, but what he cannot reveal to you. Therefore, if you would understand him, listen not to what he says, but rather to what he does not say.”
Another fun source of quotes is Ambrose Beirce! He's the original gangsta of cynics! He has a book called "The Devil's Dictionary" that is full of cynical definitions of words. It was awesome when I bought it, cause with other stuff I bought and what I paid with, the change was $6.66! I thought it was funnier than the cashier did it seemed.
Anyway, I found an online version of it: http://www.alcyone.com/max/lit/devils/. A couple entries from (L):
LAWYER, n.
One skilled in circumvention of the law.LOVE, n.
A temporary insanity curable by marriage or by removal of the patient from the influences under which he incurred the disorder. This disease, like caries and many other ailments, is prevalent only among civilized races living under artificial conditions; barbarous nations breathing pure air and eating simple food enjoy immunity from its ravages. It is sometimes fatal, but more frequently to the physician than to the patient.
Regarding "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" and "suffering produces the strongest souls": Suffering and dangers produce far more dead people than strong ones. You shouldn't draw the conclusion that it's good if you suffer or risk your life for its own sake. That would be like promoting Russian roulette the revolver as the prize. You can only hear stories from people who survived while for each of them, there might a thousand stories of those who didn't.
