    blade sentry

was wondering if anyone has played around with blade sentry at all...i know using it in lower levels it acts a lot like a lawn mower...wonder if anyone has used it in higher difficulties with a build that might benefit from its use...maybe as a support to a blade fury sin?

Even fully maxed, with a good weapon, and +skills it's still pretty pathetic...

Here is a Blade Sentinel build done in HC. Doesn't sound like it is a powerful build, more of a novelty/fun build.

It can work quite well as a support skill on a blade fury build.

At high levels, it sticks around for a long time, so you can toss one out, then switch to blade fury while it hits a large number of targets. For high target density situations (groups of maggots with their spawn on the river of flame) or when the enemy is going to be in a certain specific place (baal's minion waves), it works particularly well.

You shouldn't really consider it if you're after pure efficiency, though. Death Sentry will always outperform it as a blade fury support skill. But if you want to play something different, and like the idea of throwing frisbees of death, it can be quite fun.

ok so only effective usefulness is during lower lvls and lower acts waiting to get high enough and the gear for better builds...but it is a fun skill to play around with...too bad it doesn't carry well anything other then damage :(...

    Re: blade sentry

at first i dont know what u are talking about so: i am using blade shield with my kick assa.it can aply some dmg, ele dmg, venom and cb (!). although its limited with necessity of ar and slow natural puls, u can cast faster, and rely on cb because its not ranged atack (so full cb) and kick assa has usually high cb. my usual combo is dragon flight into group of mosters with master and merc, casting 1-2x blade shield.during battle, among many monster is re-cast very advantage because mana and life leech is possible (not high cause of low dmg but with many monsters is not bad)and usually it could kill any monster (mean finish) and ds kills others as for as blade sentinel i met some guy which has some kind of pure kicker and use blade sentinel especially against bosses together with kicks.i think it could work with some 2-hand eth weapon with hugh dmg (i drop one rare eth decapitator with fantastic dmg) or i can imagine nice eth obediance polearm cause of nice cb,dmg, enchant (nice ar boost)and other supports from this rw (fhr, defence, resi, -25% td...)-25% to enemy fire resistance may be used for dragon tail builds...for bf assa could be suporting skill blade sentinel which can stop monsters and keep distance but definitely not blade shield which is suit for tanking strong build which can survive among many monsters and use mele atacks...
edit: maybe i was mistaken i read somewhere e.g. blade shield aplies cb, but on faq, based on onderduiker's (and i respect him a lot)info is written that not...
