OK, my 1.10a CtA and all of my 1.10s RWs had been made with 1.09 Countess runes, so this issue didn't crop up until I wanted to make a Delirium for my own use with the Ist and Lem from my rushees' HF runes. I tested the conversion with the mules that had Hel and Ko HF runes, and both of those runes disappeared from the inventory when the 1.10a character was opened in 1.10s. It appears that 1.10s is known for poofing items - for that reason, I want to keep ClimateChange in 1.10a (she has some really nice items invested in her gear).
So, I did find that 5os +Holy Shield/+Fana/+Holy Shock Divine Scepter that I actually want to make a CtA for melee use (as well as the WCs, of course) and I'm thinking about doing some more rushes for that.
SO... my question is, if I make a 1.10s CtA in the 1.10a patch, will the game recognize the CtA once it's converted to 1.10s and set the stats at that point?
ATMA IV does not work with version 1.10a. This is a well known fact, as I'm sure you are already aware.
However.
I could have sworn somewhere in the history of D2 and the sequence of 1.10a -> 1.10s -> 1.10 and muling, someone (I think it was Tenshi? Or RTB maybe?) had written a type of 'patch' or something similar that would allow 1.10a items to not explode and go poof after 1.10s was released. I even found somewhat of a mention of it on the ATMA 'homepage.'
Hmmmm. The plot thickens. Does this imply that at one time, ATMA IV did coexist with v1.10a? And what about the ATS utility, what exactly did it do? Did it allow 1.10a stuffs to be compatible with the 1.10s version of ATMA? Or did it allow 1.10s stuffs to be compatible with ATMA V after 1.10 final was released? Or am I just a turbo nubby all along, and what I quoted has nothing to do with the problem you are experiencing?Originally Posted by ATMA FAQ
I'm not sure if Hakai_no_Tenshi still lurks around the forum or not, so we may never know. Perhaps someone with a bit better memory, or at least a higher level of sanity, can weigh in on the issue.
As for my own personal experience, I've never played 1.10a, and I don't know what would happen if you 1.10s'd Call to Arms in 1.10a and then tried to send it forward.
I think I had to download ATMA IV. There was an A to S utility in it (separate executable) where you opened up your 1.10a character and use it to convert to a 1.10s character. I'll have to double check that when I get back home.

Well, to test the concept, I made my Treachery in 1.09 (was just a gemmed armor) and moved it to 1.13, and sure enough, it became Treachery, so at least I think I have that option.
@Nightfish - thanks for looking into that. I have ATMA IV installed, so I'll see if I can poke around that as well.
I also have ATMA IV installed. But inside my main directory, I only have ATMA.exe, ReadMe.txt, and License.txt. Unless it is hidden somewhere in the config folder, I'm not even sure if I have the A to S utility. Its never been an issue for me though, because I have never played 1.10a.
It is a separate Download.
