D2 has been pretty messy for me lately. I lost my trav map and spent 1 hour yesterday rerolling it. After getting stable map and running it for another hour or so, the council guys suddenly started randomly spawning outside of the building. I switched to pits and it yielded some results.

Depends which character I'm playing with. On my zealot I run usually with /p7 because he can easily handle that. On my necromancer I run /p1 /p3 or /p7, depending on mood and goals. If I want slower paced xp / all sorts of item runs, I go with /p7 and if not, I go with lower settings. Killing speed still isn't that good without Dweb on higher settings. Also archers with nasty mods are really scary on higher settings since they do more damage and don't die from one nova.
