Wiz can dual wield short stave and orb, right?

Or short stave and sword, for that matter? Can't remember if it was explicitly stated before.

I think all classes can dual wield onehanded weapons, lest it is totally out of class.

They could in blizzcon 2009. I didn't encounter that particular item option in 2010 so can't say, but I doubt it would be changed.

From what we've seen, orbs are purely off-hand items that are basically like shields, but with offensive stats. So a wizard could use an orb with any one-handed weapon, but could not dual wield daggers or wands or short staves, etc.

short staves are not clear either. there seems to be 2 types of staff; caster and melee. Melee are apparently monk-only items. caster staves have spell type mods on them, and are apparently Wiz/WD only. it's not known if they are all 1h or have some 2h also. I have not seen a 2h caster staff, only 2h monk staves. but there's a lot about weapons types we don't yet know.

That'd be pretty awesome either way.
