Upgrade to Vbulletin 4.1.2

This forum has had the Vbulleting 3 version for years now basically.

The problem with going to a different thread when posting is almost a given and the forum just doesn't have enough modern features, especially for mods/admins.

I think its about time you finally upgraded to a more modern and stable forum.

Nope. Wouldn't go near version 4 with someone else's bargepole let alone my own.

The problem of being transported to someone else's thread when making a thread is a new one to me. Does this happen to you often.

Yes, it actually happens every time I post or even vote on a poll.

There is also a fix I think with version 3.8.5.

It only happens when you vote on a poll, which is not really that big of a deal. The way you are making it sound is that it happens every time you post. I think its actually fun! The last one I got redirected to was: Who will win the 2007 Superbowl thread.

ahh the poll. Yeah that's kind of become a 'thing' of the site now. It's like the poll lucky dip....where will you end up?

We did attempt to fix it on a couple of occasions with help from vbulletin but to no avail. It's just like part of the furniture now. You're vote gets counted though which I guess is something.

It's not a big deal and I'm pretty sure that the mods should be able to move the post. If that's the only reason you'd want to switch to a new version of the software, I'd much rather setup up camp with the current version.

Upgrading never goes smoothly and without any problems. It's software.
