Hey everybody, I think I'm having a little trouble understanding the price check guide 1.13c. I found an SoJ doing NM meph runs yesterday, and I'm trying to get the most I can out of it. You have to understand that in the 5-6 years that I've played d2 off and on, having even 1 item this valuable makes me wealthier that I ever have been. So I'm just trying to make sure I get a good understanding of the trade values here, so that 1) I don't offend anyone with a lowball/ludicrous offer when I am only trying to make an fair and informed offer, and also so that 2) I don't rip myself off! Which brings me to my questions..

...what is the difference between "Vex" and "Vex+" ? Also , what does a / mark between 2 runes indicate? "Ber/Jah", and also wondering about certain ones like "Gul-Ohm"? I assume this means it could be worth anything from a Gul to an Ohm, but from what I can gather that seems like quite a large range with pretty big difference in values.

The guide is what it is - a guide, and by no means a definitive pricelist. The exact price of an item will always come down to what the buyer is willing to pay/what the seller is willing to accept. The difference between Vex and Vex+ is also just what it is - Vex+ means a little more than Vex. In the case of "Ber/Jah" the reason for this is that Ber and Jah are roughly estimated to be of the same value and therefore the price could be either Ber or Jah. The "Gul-Ohm" should mean that the value is estimated to be somewhere between Gul, Vex, or Ohm - yes it's a rather large range but a lot of items do have a rather large price range.

I was wondering, what would the price for a 4os monarch shield be (for making a runeword)? Do people even hang onto stuff like that or do most people just find their own? I've got a few pgems and some low level uniques/set items. nothing spectacular
