    Exclamation "Fight in the shade"

    Skill ideas for the DH:

"Fight in the shade" - The DH fires off a single arrow into the sky which disappears, followed by the buzzing sound of multiple arrows approaching. An impact area is then pummeled with a torrent of arrows raining down from heaven. The delay will be the same as meteor, the impact area maybe a little bigger and more random. Top tier skill.

"Hasty Retreat" - The DH performs a backflip, and shoots an arc of arrows while in mid-air and lands a few feet from where the flip was initiated. The extreme angle of arrows affect monsters' feet and cause them to be slowed. This skill is to be treated as a way to draw back from a perilous situation fassst. The shadow magic graphics of vault can also apply to the backflip.

"Shadow Blade" - The DH casts a spell which causes ghostly shadow blades to be adorned as extensions from the edges of her bows/crossbows. She can then use these hybrid bow-blades in close quarters combat. Visually, the blades would resemble something like this:

    Re: "Fight in the shade"

like the first two for sure, the first one feels like a high level skill kinda like meteor.

the second really keeps in w/ the whole "stay on the move" feel of the DH. I could see some interesting uses especially with skill runes -you backflip and hang in air untouchable while you pummel enemies with shots for a few seconds.

the last one is ok, but i think close combat is sort of a last resort for this class not something you usually seek out when attacking. the names need a little work too, hasty retreat needs sumthing that sounds a little more threatening because it sounds more desperate than strategic. But overall good ideas!

The first one might have a rune effect giving it a strafe animation into the air, then a rain of arrows. Probably a power related one.

    Something like...
    "Lure in Defeat"

I could see it being a great trap detonation strategy. Set traps, go up to the demons, use the skill, set off traps.

    Nice!

But isn't there a meteor skill for the Wizard? It woudl suck if DH had one with the same mechanic. However I like the preparation-aspect of the skill and think it fits the DH.

Like the others, I like the first two and think the third might need a little work. An idea I had was Void Arrow, an arrow with a longer cooldown, 3 seconds or so, that had some type of large knockback due to the Demon Hunter's demonic power. The knockback would have to be better than regular knockback so I though maybe 2 to 3 monster widths, if that makes sense. For the animation, similiar to the the chaining arrow that slows, with a dark, other worldy aura around it.

    THIS IS SPARTA

I think that ones name has to be changed, awesome idea though
could be "Hail of Arrows" or "Raining Death"

I like the 1st and 3rd. the 2nd seems to much like vault to me, suitable replacement for vault, but one or the other

the 3rd I really like. but it should be a trait that says when you attack a monster within melee range you use the blades on the bow to melee them with knockback or something
or maybe no knockback, and have a skill with knockback to compliment the trait

but the demon hunter imo needs a melee skill with knockback, so if someone gets too close she can be all "OH HELL NO" kick their *** back and shoot em

I think rain of arrows actually covers most of "fight in the shade skill" However I like the 3rd skill a lot it sounds like a wicked bayonet :-)
