I lost my cd key but I wanted to play diablo 2 again. So I've been playing on private servers. However, I'd be willing to buy it again if people still play. So, do people still play on battle.net?
Yes but the game has more bots than players, it's can be a turn off for some but what can you expect from a 10 year old game that provides free multiplayer service![]()
If u look at H level games at this time, approximately 99% of players are robots. Then during the day time, probably 50% of human players are busy checking what their robots collected overnight.
It's really only a problem if it, for some reason, concerns you. If you just don't play in those games and you make efforts to find the players that actually do play the game you'll have fun.
Seek out a clan or other players on social network sites and you'll have fun gaming with people. I joined a clan and play with other clan members daily.

I play on /v/.net, a Closed Battle.net realm hosted by a fellow /v/ bro.
Community is extremely small, but hey, we're all bros and there are no dupers, so I'm happy with it.
^^
So you don't play on UsEast, west, etc?
Where are you getting the items you are putting up for trade on the East Trade Forums????
Blizzard's realms, well... spam, dupers, hard to find players who're fun to play with, etc.
Also, maphacks are allowed on /v/.net, which is awesome. There's no limit on games per hour. You can reset Hellforge completion once every six hours, Shenk once every three days. Reset Cow King as much as needed, not that anyone really does The Secret Cow Level. Reset skills and stats with a quick command in lobby chat.
EDIT: Oh, and the /v/.net community's approach to trading is less "trading" and more giving away stuff to each other
Might want to check the timestamps on those![]()
Word of advice...don't trade on the SP Forum...you will be banned instantly.
I said Single Player.
Not realms.
