Hello. I've just downloaded the Diablo+Hellfire iso that Nayo made, along with an .exe that was included which I dont know what is. Could someone, or the designer behind this wonderfile please help me out on how to install this correctly? I'm like an old woman when it comes to the slightest technical computer stuff.
Blah. It is probably against the rules to discuss this here.
You may have better luck discussing it back on the site where you found the release in the first place.
Against the rules? It is already being discussed in here, also this more than 15 year old game is kind of hard to get by, especially the Hellfire expansion. I still have Diablo in its original box with the cd and manual, but my old Hellfire cd is gone, so I really dont see any other way to get to play this good ol' game. If there's someone here who knows how to do this iso thingamajig from this download(nayo posted it earlier in this thread) https://spreadsheets0.google.com/spr...fFLdPRVg#gid=0 please either explain it in here, or if its controversial stuff, send me a PM.
If it's a .iso file, download daemon tools. It's a program that pretends isos are CDs. Don't know if that helps.
Oh. Yes, do like Clervis said, and download Daemon Tools Lite, or else download nothing and content with cracking the main exe. I am still not sure what Nayo has really posted, though. Have you read his post instructions?
I too would really appreciate some help in getting nayo's copy to work properly. The problem is not with burning or mounting the iso. it's knowing what order to run the numerous batch and reg files in this release. Diablo 1 itself works great. and Hellfire gets patched to 1.01 in win7 64-bit, but after running the batch files the Hellfire intro movie no longer works and an original Diablo disc is unfortunately still required either in the drive or mounted to play.
Just this one final step.... argh.
Anyone have it fully working in Win 7 64bit? I would really appreciate the help.
Also, a thank you to nayo for his efforts in getting these classics working properly on newer OS's

I have been leery of migrating to Windows 7 because I sometimes like to play these older games. That said, my son wanted to play Hellfire and tried to get it installed on his PC - it did not work. However, after some research, I stumbled upon this post URL - it worked for the PC but NOT my laptop.

Hellfire 1.01 manual patch: http://www.mediafire.com/?5qceg7089iajvxz
Just place the files in that folder into the hellfire directory, and replace all. It will work for 64 bit windows.
Thank you so much, this works perfect. I now have all diablo games installed and working on my puter.
