Re: Hey Bookworm, What Are You READING?

I just finished "Wool" by Hugh Howey and now I'm reading "Coldest Girl in Coldtown" which is pretty cool actually. Take the vampires from Twilight and put them in the real world where governments have to quarantine them and goth teens think they are fabulous and run away to become food for them. It's not great, but it's holding my attention.

    "Wool" was pretty good.

I read the intro or prelude to that as part of The Poison Eaters and other stories by Holly Black in the last Humble bundle.

I just read a book by Holly Black that I really enjoyed called "the coldest girl in coldtown". It was very good, kind of a more realistic Twilight. Wool is worth the time, IMO.

Re: Hey Bookworm, What Are You READING?

    Can recommend this fantasy series:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malazan_Book_of_the_Fallen

Not an easy read, quite complicated story (English is not my native language, am re-reading the whole set atm to close all gaps).
Best Fantasy Series in my "already read" list (any new titles are most welcome!).

    Chronicles of Thomas Covenant
    Black Company
A Song of Ice and Fire
    The First Law
    The Farseer
    LOTR
    Lyonesse
    The Wheel of Time
    The Dark Tower
