In an effort to escape any trolling charge myself, I will mention that I am currently reading The Horror In The Museum - Collected Short Stories by H P Lovecraft. These stories (mainly collaborations and re-writes by HPL) are new to me so I am understandably excited - urine-dribblingly so - to be reading them.

In an effort to escape any trolling charge myself, I will mention that I am currently reading The Horror In The Museum - Collected Short Stories by H P Lovecraft.

His collaborations/ghost writings are mediocre at best - with one exception: Through the Gates of the Silver Key is excellent (maybe the best of the Dreamworld stories, in fact). A few others that I'll rec:

In the Walls of Eryx (with Kenneth Sterling): Has a campy "golden age of sci-fi" feel to it.

The Loved Dead (with C.M. Eddy, Jr): Pretty shocking content for the 1920s.

Under the Pyramids (ghostwritten for Harry Houdini): For the simple reason that it was ghostwritten for Harry Houdini. Has an atmosphere similar to The Nameless City.

Till A' the Seas (with Robert Barlow): So bad it's good. End-of-the-world porn. F*****' slime!

The Diary of Alonzo Typer (with William Lumley): Next to the ghastly Quest of Iranon, this is probably worst pile of dreck HPL ever penned, but it's worth the slog just to get to those last few paragraphs. The ending is so ridiculous that I guarantee you will laugh yourself to tears.

Great idea, a kangaroo court will make it even more of a mockery. Just as a facade, of course, we continue to act on our whims as before.
