On the contrary, Bob, you somehow seem to like what I have no inkling of.

I tend to buy books that are tattered piles of loose pages, and then paste them into the binding as I read them.*
Refurbish, Bob; that's what people do.

    *Disclaimer - clearly a falsehood.

Re: Hey Bookworm, What Are You READING?

Currently I just finished reading 'Pillars of the Earth' for like the 5th or 6th time. I simply love that book.
I think it's the combination of a good plot where the main charecter simply are so well defined, and that sort of Historical almanac that gives alot of info about life in the more medieval ages.

I don't really care that much for the Sequel 'World without end' tho, whenever i read it i can't stop feeling like it's excactly the same plot, only tweaked a bit.

I haven't read a book in a while, so I'm just searching for something to read. Prefrebly an audiobook since I oftent don't feel like i have the time to sit down a read a book. (Well I do, but i would rather listen to an Audiobook and get through 3 books in the same time, since i can do other stuff in the meantime)

Just Read Rainbows End buy Vernor Vinge

Great Novel of the near future from 2006.

    Google glasses are contacts etc.

Lot's of Literary references and fun action.

    9/10 for recent Sci-fi book.

But given Mr. Vinges record of great Sci-fi that is not at all surprising.

The Holy Bible. It's a great book, actually it's made up of many books. Mine has sixty six books, 39 old testament and 27 new.

    Dan Simmons - Carrion Comfort

Great central idea but overall not quite to my liking I must say. Great start, interesting characters, surprising plot but poor ending. Enjoyed Terror much more.

Currently reading Fritz Lieber, Ship of Shadows. Short stories and the first story is weird. I had no idea he wrote SF as well as Fantasy.

Next after that: Eternity, by Greg Bear.

I'm not wellread - don't tell anyone - but my sister tells me that Pillars of the Earth is a sad copy from a prevous book by the same author, called The Cathedral.

If that's all, it's not complete: appearantly an appendix was written some time ago, called The Apocryphal Apocalypse.
