Hi, today I saw something strange: I opened a trade game, and while I was mf-ing someone came in to trade. I went to act I and I saw a Paladin with an Iron Golem, which was probably summoned with a Metalgrid. But as far as I know Iron Golems summoned through charges dissapear when you exit a game even If you keep Metalgrid on... so why the heck did he summon an IG in a trade game?! I tried to ask him but he could only speak polish and his english was terrible, he said something like "is no bug golem i use amu" and I insisted trying to explain what I meant but he eventually left after we traded.
So what I'm trying to ask is: Is the bug that makes your golem dissapear fixed? How does it work now?
And a bonus question: If Using a Necromancer y max IG and use a restat token whil holding an item with IG charges, will the golem still be around and at level 20+? It's something I thought today, after the incident I just wrote about, and it would be useful to have an extra 20 skill points.
Regards and thankyou in advance![]()
he probably just spawned it (in your game) from a random item he'd picked up. i've done this before just because. he even said that it was metalgrid.
idk for sure about your other question, but i'd doubt the golem would stay around.
In both cases, it will still disappear.
Thankyou both for your answers, shame they haven't fixed that yet :(
it's not a bug, why would they fix an intended feature?
sure and when you have zero points in a summon, they disappear.
Hmm now I see your point, but I think it should count as if you have the skill points in Summon IG aslong as you keep the Metalgrid equiped, that way it would work exactly like it works for a Necromancer.
now, i'm not certain on this but in some instances (like entering and/or exiting a game) all of a character's gear gets taken off and put back on by the game. i know when you exit the trade screen this is the case.
I didn't know that, thanks, now it makes sense.
