So I've picked up a few options for my might merc and I'm just wondering what the best combo for him would be..
He's currently using an Obedience rw in a non eth Giant Thresher, Arkaine's valor armor, and Tal Rasha's helm for the LL.
Now I recently found a 2os Tomb Reaver, and a 2os ETH Bonehew (damage is just retarded - up around 850). Pretty sure either of these with the right rune combos would up his damage..
As far as other gear goes, I don't have much to work with.. Think I have Guillame's Face somewhere, which would be even moar dmg but he still needs leech from somewhere.. Armors are very limited, still havent found a Shaftstop (sigh). I do have a 3os Black Hades Chaos armor which I could socket to fill in the gaps..
Hmm yes I see the logic and in the past I would have agreed 100%.
Thing is, all I do with my fishy is MF, and with MF gear on, I only have +3 to skills, so I dont have an uber amount of uber strong summons running around, and as far as I can tell, the only purpose they serve is being the meatwall. I havent found a decent switch combo to prebuff summons and I'm using Puzzler for tele'ing anyway. My merc seems to do the only damage that matters ie. getting the 1st corpse or CB against bosses. So I'm wondering if its worth going for the +skills as opposed to making him super strong..
Agreed, mine used (IIRC, on single player now) andys for the ll, fortitude? (4 rune word armour with massive enhanced damage) for the damage and insight cryptic axe (I had eni and it's nice for parties). If you dont want eni or wont have it for a while then a high damage is all you really need, ideal mods are ll and CB. Wish I could help more but I've barely played recently and then untwinked SP.
