1.09 Roll Call - Goals, Progress, Finds

I loved coldsteel on my pally. the slows target plus the blind made packs go down pretty well. Not the best on damage, but it works throughout nightmare for sure. I used mine for quite a while as a matter of fact, but not quite into the 60's. I was able to switch over to a chippie sword at that time as I had a barb in Hell to roll a 1h'er.

I'm glad to hear things are still moving in 1.09. I just have not had the time to play. I've been wanting to with just a month until D3. Gotta get out the last little bit of whatever I can before moving over. The beta bramble isn't going to be happening... But I do have three chars that need to be mat'd/pat'd still.

Thanks for the input! I do wonder when i can shop a mythical sword.. Is it even possible in act1 hell? Should i be a higher clvl to do it? I really want to cube an amazing sword sometime.

@Klonki - gratz on the finds! Hope you keep getting those shinys! On your question, I believe you can start shopping for Mythical Swords in Hell Act 3 (check both Asheara and the blacksmith). IN THEORY you should be able to find a Cryptic Sword in Hell Act 1 or 2, but there is a bug that results in no item from the shops spawning Exceptional or Elite from Hell Act 1 or 2. The bug goes away in Act 3 and you can shop an elite base.

Once you have a magic Mythical Sword, it doesn't matter your character's level or location - the intrinsic quality level of the sword will allow the affixes you want to spawn.

Me, I'm still dutifully running Pindle (which is slowly bleeding my will to play the game). Got another Tal's Armor and some other stuff, but still no Windeh! I'm also collecting flawless gems to roll the new Baal SC I farmed from Baal for Pestilent (I will want that for my WF Strafer if I ever find the bow). I'm getting way more Winged Harpoons and Scissors Suwayyahs than I'm getting Hydra Bows - don't know if that's just random fluctuation or an issue with the drops.

Oh dear ok. Thank you for the lovely info! Soon maxed veng and fana. I wonder if i should get some more points into conv and some more in vigor/HS. Just cleared out the tower in black march. Will take a while until i get into act3..

Well, since it's come up, here's my 1.09 Flavie as of April 4, 2012 (this doesn't have my latest Tal's Armor). The only non-TC90 gaps are Torch of Iro and Windforce *sigh*.

I assume you have Conviction maxed if you are talking about points in Vigor/HS?

No, only 1p in conviction. Should i max it you think? I have 6p in HS, 1p in vigor.

Its a normal rclaw in 1.09, but forward it to a later version and it fires lvl33 explosive arrows instead of the usual lvl3. its an incredible powerful twinking weapon which can get you through normal all on its own.
