Greebo is pretty much right. If you're well known in the community, people will feel more comfortable trading with you. If you feel that constitutes discrimination, then fair enough, but I'd say it's true, on average.
As for rune values in "a vacuum", I think Ber is worth a bit more than Jah. If I got more than Ber for my Jah, I'd feel I was either getting lucky, or dealing with someone semi-desperate, or dealing with someone semi-ignorant of recent forum trends. Ber+Vex would feel like stealing. Others may (and will) have different opinions.
It's still in the guide - paragraph "SPECIAL NOTE ON HIGH RUNES", last sentence. Yes, it's discriminating, but it's also just normal to be honest :/It should also be said that the source of the rune may have an effect on it's percieved value.
Anyway, as far as runes changed their value... I agree Cham is worth a bit more at the moment. Also I 100% agree with Fabian that Ber is worth more then Jah for me, but seems like popular opinion is that they are roughly equal with Jah being a bit more valuable.
What to do with Zod here? I think if Cham gets 100% value increase, Zod should get at least 50% but again, that's just wild guess. I'll update rune values soonish.
Code:------------------------------------ | | Fabian | Greebo | | | range | avg | range | avg | ------------------------------------ | Lo | 32 | 32 | 32 | 32 | | Sur | 30-38 | 34 | 30-38 | 34 | | Ber | 54-62 | 58 | 64-72 | 68 | | Jah | 62-72 | 67 | 72-80 | 76 | | Cham | 34-42 | 38 | 34-42 | 38 | | Zod | 62-72 | 67 | 72-80 | 76 | ------------------------------------
I was just curious how the rune tables are generally interpreted?? Are the numbers designed to reflect rarity in 1.13c, or are they like a points based value system that you sometimes see in trade or auction threads?
For example, Jah 76 points, Lo at 32 points, and Cham at 38 points, would this mean that 1x Jah would be approximately equal in value to 1x Cham and 1x Lo? Or will it only work when comparing 1 rune to 1 other rune?
Those numbers are meant as a guide on how to relate a rune's value to another rune. Sort of like a points based system, yeah. The numbers don't reflect rarity, but rather trade value. Trade value, of course, is determined primarily by rarity, usefulness and perceived rarity/usefulness.
Jah for Cham+Lo sounds somewhat reasonable, I'd say. That said, I think how different people value different high runes varies wildly, even more so than before, and putting too much stock on those numbers might be a mistake. It is a bartering system, after all![]()
I disagree with Jah=Cham+Lo. We've had 3 trades of the kind Cham=2Sur last week.
More or less, at the moment:
Lo = Sur
Ber = 2Sur
Jah = +/- Ber
Cham=Ber
Zod = ?????? Cham
That's how I see things at the moment.
well until i get well known in community diablo 3 will come out than nothing will matter...
but i appreciate comments and i hope other people will notice that im ok just as people i did trading with.
but i need price check now for fletchers gc with +6 dexterity. frozzzen wrote that +6 dex is max but how to value it over gc with life.
btw i still need breaking jah and lo so dont be shamed...
6 Dex on an Amazon charm is equivalent to 18 Life, almost always. That's how you get the value. Basically for each class you multiply by respective bonus to life per point in Vita invested.
As far as D3: it will change things. But this forum has been active for over a decade. A decade during which no sequel was released. I do expect some people to leave once D3 arrives, but I don't expect this place to become empty. I even imagine that some people might try D3, get disappointed and revisit D2. You should also take into account that Blizzard is not exactly well known for releasing things on time. Not that they even said when D3 comes out.
EDIT: A remark that could be considered of a somewhat personal nature was removed.

What kind of rune could a 14%CD Blizzard Ormus attract?
I'd say about half of what a perfect one gets. That should be in frozzzen's guide, I'm almost sure.
is what the guide saysOrmus' Robes
