onderduiker did some tests and apparently the Necro Pet Calculator is wrong in that aspect, or so I remember him(her?) posting a while ago.
So you can actually get the Golemlord's prefix on a wand/head with such low tier skills as Clay Golem? I thought it required ilvl 60, and that such a high ilvl would preclude any skills below the fourth tier.
I tested it, and +% life from Golem Mastery is applied to base life before +% life from Battle Orders and Oak Sage. The Necromancer Pet Calculator wrongly adds +% life from BO and OS to that from GM. On a related subject, the Druid Pet Calculator makes the same mistake with +% life from BO and OS and that from Summon Dire Wolf.
According to the affix level calculation posted on the Arreat Summit's Crafted Items page (and elsewhere), if quality level > item level then ilvl = qlvl when calculating alvl: since this makes ilvl irrelevant when calculating alvl, you can use Horadric Cube formulae whose output has a low enough ilvl to allow a skill like Clay Golem to spawn as a staffmod on an item whose qlvl is high enough to allow it to have alvl >59. An item needs qlvl >79 to spawn with alvl >59, so only an Unearthed Wand (qlvl 86), Succubus Skull (qlvl 81) and Bloodlord Skull (qlvl 85) can still spawn with the Golemlord's prefix (alvl 60) with ilvl 25 or 30.
People, you are missing the big thing, that thing is close to unkillable. I would like to see how long it takes for 7 people to drain a necro's mana if he is only recasting this when the previous dies:P
I honestly think the necro will reg to full mana quicker than they can kill it, unless they use heavy CB.
Seven people with Crushing Blow, poison and Amplify Damage surely ought to be able to kill that golem quick enough for the necromancer to at least have one point of mana less than before he summoned it.(I guess it's a good thing that Cursed and Spectral Hit Urdar bosses don't get to spawn with Zeal.)
I took me a while to get the idea, but now I even get why the head has to have the "of Spikes" suffix. And after checking, I found out that Clay Golem is about as low as it goes, and even that's only a 10% chance when checking for which tier to choose from.
Lets see your gear would be:
3 summon, 3 clay, 3 gm wand (6 clay and 6 gm)
enigma (2 clay and 3 gm)
3 summon circ (3 clay and 3 gm)
3 summon, 3 clay, 3 gm shield (6 clay and 6 gm)
x2 skill rings soj or bk (2 clay and 2 gm)
arach (1 clay and 1 gm)
3 summon ammy (3 clay and 3 gm)
torch and anni (4 clay and 4 gm)
x9 summon skillers (9 clay and 9 gm)
As for bc and bo I would recommend a bo barb with highest bo possible to bo you and your clay golem for maximum results xD.
*misclick*
Blah, now that you have already misclicked, and since i got curious i just gotta ask:P
What if you would have a max lvl golem with a max lvl BO and a max lvl oak sage next to it? Will it be able to reach the 6 million hp of a uber?, gonna check how high BO+oak sage u can get when i get home, if anybody finds out before me please post here^^
Starting from 80k base hp, you'll probably need 7500% cumulative hp bonus for achieving 6kk. Allright, you got ~400% from lvl 40 oak sage and battle orders, and what's about the remaining 7100%?+39 skill bonuses would result in level 59 CG and GM, which with 20 points in Blood Golem would result in 80,833 life in Hell
While every golem disappears with no explanation from time to time, most players don't care about its maxHP.
