Maybe stop hanging out with them? If she is insulting your friends when you two are alone, then she doesn't respect you enough.

I don't hang out with her at all, I think we've spoken maybe once or twice in passing, during the last 2 years. I'm somewhat 3rd-party in the whole situation. Friend's a sucker for emotional abuse I guess, or he's just too nice. :( What can I say? I wouldn't tolerate that to begin with.

I'm opposed to most forms of insurance. Take car insurance: in Canada, we're forced to pay it to drive; yet, we only retrieve any of it if we get into an accident. Gee, I wonder if this will inspire people to do some dangerous things?

Fire insurance: how about we build fireproof buildings? Just sayin'.

Health insurance: Proper diet and exercise. No?

Life insurance: Sigh. I don't want people to benefit from me dying. Gee, wouldn't that inspire people to--nvm.

I hate how companies have "no fat", "no sugar" or "light" versions of their product but still remove all the sugar/salt/flavour from the standard product as well. There should be a flavour version, and a health version.
