    I think that is a fair assumption to make.

    Bare in mind I have seen like 1 or maybe 2 El, Elds etc. from my running to get the Sur - not nearly as much as pre-1.13

    I have a hunch if we looked at 1.12 drop patterns for every rune, we'd see that some of the new drop patterns for surs were old drop patterns for lower runes.

    It makes sense really. Rune drops were increased by a factor of 8-10 for mob drops; chest drops are restricted to 65k so they simply altered the proportions of rune drops.

    edit - The last two lines need clarification on my part. I meant the top runes were increased by a factor of 8-10 to offset the lower runes having their drop odds decreases.

    Seems like most of us are running P7, and understandably so.

    However, I have been also running other settings to assess drop patterns.

    Please post the number of runs thus far on each to gauge whether P3, for example, is simply a poor setting to run, or just getting little attention.

    My runs: Highest Rune
    P1 35 runs Dol
    P3 75 runs Fal
    P5 150 runs Io
    P7 580 runs Vex (Sur from ancillary drop; Ohm before formerly
    counting runs)

    Where to find Eth Zerker Axe question that was left unanswered twice:
    I had another go at searching for the answer (seriously, tried about 6 or 7 different google/forum search terms, searched over 4 nights, each giving up after getting links only to the 1.07 rack guide and trade threads.)

    But you cannot rack 'zerker axes in 1.10+. No area is high enough to drop them. However, in 1.07, I believe you can.

    I did answer this question, but I attempted to submit during the mystical forum down time that happens every night (local time), so the squid ate it and I forgot to re-answer. Blaming Durf.

    For further clarification, racks drop items at ilvl = alvl - 1, where the item's qlvl must be equal to or lower than the ilvl to be able to drop. Because Berserker Axes are of qlvl 85, and the highest alvl is 85 (thus the highest possible ilvl from a rack is 84 [I'm pretty sure that at least the Causeway temples have racks, right?]), then Berserker Axes cannot drop (nor can any other TC87 base) in the latest patch.

    I believe that back in the day these were rackable because of the older TC classes and the much higher alvls. I think Nihlathak's area could drop anything in the game back then, but I'm not certain on older mechanics.

    We lost Crazy Bear's 2 patterns so I added them back and I moved one item in the list to keep the runes in increasing order.

    Just an easy way to compare the changes - I've brought back the summary table. Giving credit to this FAQ by MuddyWaters for the pre-1.13 table.

    @mattinm - Maybe we can move the tables to the first post in the thread and update the summary every so often.

    I've added that really handy "overall" table to the first post currently, and made a spoiler for the mostly up-to-date tables.

    I'm not sure if I understand what you mean in the quote above, but I've noticed that having people update the tables fully when posting is making pages quite long (I do 50/page, so it's even crazier ), but I'm guessing we would eventually get to a point where updates just won't come very often.

    I guess the two options would be to: 1.) continue as we are, updating tables fully on update; or 2.) have users post their latest find with all relevant information (e.g. /p7 Gul #4 Cleaver Crossbow and the link... note that this isn't a real find, just an example) and have every 10th poster or so update the tables, and I'd subsequently update the main post.

    I think (2) is what you meant by your post, but if you could clarify, that would be great.

    @mattinm -

    All I meant was to copy the summary table to your first post and update it every so often, which you did.

    As for updating the pattern table, I think what we're doing right now is fine. Look at Page 103 in your linked post - that's what sirpoops had going for the pre-1.13 patterns.

    Have another Gul on p3 with the same pattern as before.

    Actually. woow.

    I am going to highlight the following just to be sure that everyone sees it (although it might be insignificant or well known).

    I had the same gems (FTopaz and FSkull) drop on both Guls (different chest) in addition to the same item (Splint Mail). Perhpas that changes the way we assess patterns and junk drop (aren't gems in it) also has an effect?
