Found 2 Polearms. Usable?

I recently found 2 interesting polearms:
The Meat Scraper (Lochabre Axe)
Two-Hand Damage: (15-18) To (145-174) (80-96 Avg)
Required Level: 41
Required Strength: 80
Durability: 50

+150-200% Enhanced Damage (varies)
50% Chance Of Open Wounds
30% Increased Attack Speed

+3 To Masteries (Barbarian Only)

Pierre Tombale Couant (Partizan)
+160-220% Enhanced Damage (varies)
Adds 12-20 Damage
55% Deadly Strike
+100-200 To Attack Rating (varies)
+3 To Barbarian Skill Levels
6% Mana Stolen Per Hit
30% Faster Hit Recovery

Now I have never made any barb ever before. The ladder is new and getting items is a little hard. I have about 3 puls to spend on purchasing stuff (like Areats maybe). I also have found dacs.

Maybe someone can suggest a decent build with those? Also, are they usable for anything or should i just make a "Free 4 U" game?

Nr 1 is somewhat useless imo.

Nr 2 though, is pretty good for a starting barbarian in Norm / Nm. For hell you need Treestump ect. Or ik

Insight cryptic axe can turn out more damaging than this, cheap, and that's without calculating in that it's easier to get an ethereal one.

For barbs the Pierre Tombale could be used on a barb, but it's too slow for WW and for a berserk barb I'd choose Insight over it. If I were to build a barb around this pole, I'm thinking frogger . Leap attack (no need for a speedy weapon, just a hard hit and a big range) is the only skill for which this weapon would be my premium pick.

Maybe concentrate could work, but you'll need some IAS off weapon, maybe shael it too. Without shield you'll need quite some points in shout and Iron skin to make it work, but it can be done...

Update. I'd use the PTC on my berserker barb with insight on the merc if I'd have the runes to up it to Cryptic Axe. If not I'd stick with a giant thresher Insight as main weapon.

Basically I think you're gonna have an as damaging weapon with an Insight runeword (which can be built in an elite weapon, also more choice in speed), but with mana regen in stead of mana leech which is better vs mana burners. OTOH the +3 to barb skills would be better, but even then you're gonna need to up it for maximum potential...
