No, this is not about Obama's proposed changes to the USA space program. More on that later after I've examined it fully.
I just wondered if people realized how many people we have working in space right now. It's only short term as the space shuttle is docked now. But here is a group picture.
Of course women being women had to go and do their own thing:
Silly gurls. I wonder if it's hard to keep their hair from getting all knotted.
Larger image here.
Anyway, it's pretty impressive I think.
In this recent pic I like the curve of Earth as the two astronauts work.

LOL! Wow, that's a whole gaggle of people! Isn't that the most women in space at one time, or just together in space at the same time?

I'll admit, I just lost my **** looking at that last picture. I just never thought about it, but they really are just hanging there, in space. In space. If they come loose, that's it...

Who are those people btw? I want to know them
The last picture is pure eye candy, remarkably beautiful. Who needs art when the world is prettier.

Of course there's been sex in space! That would just be WAAAAYY too tempting... albeit difficult.
That last pic looks like something out of a movie!

Protip: If you happen to drift away in zero g, start peeing in the opposite direction you want to go. Or more likely open your waste tanks. Spit, throw your shoes, and if all else fails cut off your foot and throw that. Also try bleeding the right way.
Just something to keep in mind.
And yeah, space is cool. (Figuratively at least.)

Are all those American astronauts, or are there invited ones from other countries in that picture as well?
Reason I ask is that the European Space Agency seems to bring up people from everywhere, not just Europe. And the Russians occasionally invite people as well.

I enjoyed finding out that the astronauts performing the external repairs resorted to beating on the recalcitrant ammonia tank. Take that, robotics!
Also, anyone hungry for anachronism?
