Fair enough. They aren't just zip archives, though - if they were nobody would ever use the .7z extension. 7z is a different (and generally more efficient) compression method. If an application manages to open a 7z archive that has a .zip extension I presume it'd be looking at the file header instead of the extension.
Anyone got input on how to make ATMA remember my character/stash windows between uses? It really is irritating. Also is there any way of bulk moving items, like all jewels in one go from one stash to another?
Sorry I do not use ATMA anymore.
If you are not using ATMA for a previous patch, say pre 1.10, I would suggest that you take a look at GoMule. It has that exact feature that you mention. Also it should do a much better job of remembering your stashes and characters.
Here are a few things to check if you want to keep ATMA.
If you want to keep ATMA I'd check the tabs at the top of the character/stashes names and see if it remembers them, but under another tab. Check that your paths are correct for ATMA, should be in the menus somewhere. Also check that the files are not read only and/or that your config file is saving properly, ie it might be due to Win Vista/7. ATMA saves the paths and names of the characters/stashes in a text file in the ATMA folder. I believe it is named config or something like that, the path structure should be near the bottom. Try moving the folder outside of the Program Files folder if you have Vista/7 instead of XP. Run ATMA as an admin in Vista/7.
That is about all the help I can give at the moment. If it does not work I will download ATMA and see if I can figure it out, but I do not have Vista/7 anymore at the moment til I buy another laptop and I believe it is that, that is causing your problems. Good luck.
Hey folks.
I downloaded GoMule for the first time today, instead of Atma. I'm having some troubles, it seems like the items won't show up in the stash window, only on the clipboard. Also, the stash says Items.d2x (Disconnected) on the top left corner, what do this mean?
Thanks in advance. I'll probably come with more questions as I get to use it more, so please bare with me.![]()
While the stash is opened could you click on the tab that says messages and post the message, ie error, that you see. That will help us understand why the stash is disconnected.
Also to save time I though I'd ask you a few questions that I think will help if answered in addition to the message.
Was this an ATMA stash to begin with?
Can ATMA still open the stash if it was?
Have you tried to open the stash with ATMA?
What version of items are in the stash?
Are they pre 1.10 or ALL 1.10 and beyond?
Is the stash from expansion or classic Diablo 2?
What OS are you using GoMule under?
Do you understand what Java VM is and have the most up to date version?
Was this the first and only error you have gotten?
Were you using the stash with GoMule before this error?
Do you have the most up to date version of GoMule? The one from the front page of the stick?
That is the only things I can think of that might help us for now. If I think of anymore I'll be sure to update this post til you respond.
I have GoMule too (its Flavie report is nice), but it doesn't remember my stashes either.
Thanks for the input, I'll work my way through those.
EDIT: no luck. The ATMA directory option is configured correctly, the directory itself is in the root of C:\ and I'm on XP not Vista/Win7.
Can anyone confirm that ATMA can actually keep your stashes open between uses?
You did try changing the path to either inside your ATMA or GoMule folder?
That is very strange.I just tested it out and was able to keep my stashes and characters listed with no problem. Granted I did have it copied to the desktop and had to use the tabs (D2X) below the New Char and Open menu strip and open the folder found there to find the stashes after they were opened. Are you saving your stashes and or characters from a removable media such as a USB Hard drive or stick? Did you open up ATMA and or GoMule and then move the folders or your stashes after the first run of the program or opening of the stashes?
Let me get this straight just so I understand you fully. When you open the stashes in ATMA and GoMule they do not appear on the left hand side at all? Or they do, but when you open ATMA and GoMule again they are not listed. Or are you just unable to open them, and get a disconnect notice til you go through and find them using the open dialog box again?
Here is one last thought before I go back and tinker. If you are up for it you could try a clean install of ATMA from scratch and patch for 1.13 yourself. Maybe ATMA is looking in the registry for some reason for the path. Thought that does not explain why GoMule is not remembering them either. The files should be found either on this site or by google. Sorry I do not have the direct link to them.
I will try to test this out as I have the time. Sorry I could not be of more help. Hopefully someone else will come by and post a solution.Good luck. In the mean time if you think of any other info that might help please post it.
Hey, got an error and cannot open GoMule (latest version) - this used to work fine but since a reinstall it won't.
My computer: Windows XP Pro
Version of GoMule: 3.1.1.13
Error:

I have ATMA installed - the one before 1.13 and I am playing 1.09 and 1.12a (but I only need it for 1.12a obviously)
Could my 1.09b install be screwing it up?
EDIT: Fixed by reinstalling a version of Java - Ironically Flavie was working fine when GoMule was not ... but oh well
Does anyone have a current link to Silo's Run Counter? The two links on the first page are linking to GoMule but not the run counter.

This is where google is your friend.
Not sure if this works for 1.13 or not, I have not downloaded and installed it.
