Well, I'm glad i got to see jupiter with the moon last week, because it's been cloudy and crappy since. It's a lot darker near work than here with all the neighborhood lights burning all night. One day I'm going to figure out how to get a telecommuting job, and live in the middle of nowhere.
AND I have to go back out tonight. hrumpft!

However, once we start storing our expended nuclear fuel there, we better beware.
Hey, it's the "Space!" thread. What?
Personally, I think we're better off exploring sub-surface structures, since surface structures don't have the protection of an atmosphere. There was some research about self-organizing nano- or micro-bots that would mine (eat) stone and poop concrete, but I forget what that's called. The concept was that you could drop a pack of these critters on the ground and they'd build you a concrete wall.
Just for fun

Interesting and amusing. The forum posts on that site look just like the ones here in the OTF![]()
