I dunno if that is so common. I've built a few fissure druids. I use my hurricane druid to farm nightmare. I've never built a tornado druid. I don't think I've even seen one ever. Tornado doesnt even get the lower resist wand bonus since its physical dmg.

I have to think hurricane + lower resist wand beats tornado by a mile.

You think Hurricane does that much dmg?

With very good gear, my own Ele Druid had a 7k dmg Tornado, and a 3k Cold dmg Hurricane. Which strikes pretty slow.

Without the +skills, its not good enough for hell. Sure NM farming sounds ok for such a build. But why create a character that can do NM runs? Instead of one that can do both NM+Hell?

Short: Tornado is a killing skill, not Hurricane.

Agreed, tornado is the damage dealer, also it benefits from decrep from reapers on merc which makes it that much better.

Well it finally happened I found my very first high rune, a Vex. I got it from a chest drop on the Blood Moore in a solo private game. Kinda funny really after all these years of doing runs and I get my first HR drop not from Baal or Diablo but an act 1 chest. Well, it is nice to finally get a really good drop after reading about the great drops you guys have been getting this ladder.

BTW-Love the OT discussion on druids maybe I will have to try one out next ladder.

This past week, I've been incredibly lucky I think. And pretty much everything I got dropped in LK.

You aren't factoring in a lower resist wand. Plus, that 3k dmg is spread out of a much wider area and doesn't have to be aimed. If I'm killing pygmies in Flayer Jungle, my hurricane is hitting a ton of pygmies. For single target, sure tornado is better, but look at hurricanes aoe.

ObItems: Yesterday, was more farming in nm flayer jungle. I rolled a +1 combat skills charm for barb using flawless gems I found. But it was truly amulet day. These amulets dropped:
