TTPK dead in 1.13?

Maybe my post before this has was a little cynical, but I didn't mean to direct it at anyone in particular really. I'm not blaming anyone for times changing, hacks in general or the fact that it's hard getting ears legitly when everybody is holed up in private communities. That's just the way it all evolved. If anyone felt attacked by my previous post, that wasn't the intention :( .

It is not my fault that PK has become anonymous with TPPK. The other day someone was telling me why TPPK was necessary, because everyone was using chicken so regular PK wouldn't work. And pubby games kept people on their toes and ensured the weeding of the clueless...

Well, TPPK gets the clueless and the smart ones really. You can't defend against it. IMHO that's mowing, not weeding. Also there's more than enough builds out there that are used to one hit kill people (charger being the most popular), so chicken hack doesn't help people one bit against those.

TPPK by dirty TP is still around though. I dare anyone on EuHCL to take a TP from "Puke" (sorc) or "ok" (barb):

er, that was stitched from multiple games?! and why do you have all the screens?

Yeah it was compiled from several games and the guy who did it posted this picture on another forum.

TPPK =/= killing someone in some way associated with a TP. The dirty TPs thing is completely legit and I actually like it as it adds an extra layer of danger to the formula. (no, I never set up anyone with a dirty tp but I have seen quite a lot of people get killed by it).

Sorries for double post but this is something I've stumbled onto for 4th or 5th time now in yet another (bragging)thread on some website... Just posting it as a heads up for you guys. Not really sure what's going on there but it looks like some kind of in-field hostility enabling hack I mentioned in an earlier post. Or maybe it's the aforementioned fissure tppk (I see something there that looks like a tp and "Crisis" is a Druid char based on the screenshot... However, I see wind spells in-game and on the hotkeys and nothing resembling a fissure unless it already ended before the screenshot was taken)

I'd be surprised if it's either. It's definitely not fissure TPPK as:
1) the druid is standing right there, as opposed to in town where a TPPK would be standing
2) as mentioned, fissure is not visible

But it's probably not some magical hostile anywhere hack either (I say magical, but when the game was first released hostility control was client side ><) because if the druid went hostile before the victim had time to respond, the hostility message probably still would've been on screen.

It also appears that there's an ice blast heading towards the druid from an off screen sorc which would imply that it wasn't a surprise at all given how slow ice blasts travel.

Your guys' assumptions are also perfectly viable. I really don't know better. If this was the first time I've seen something like this then I could easily dismiss it as a consensual duel gone bad...

However:
- The guy who died was a lvl89 pally. And who actually duels (let alone to the death at such a high level) in CS of all places?. Though I guess it's possible he didn't leave when hostiled and the druid enigma-maphack-teleported and killed him in seconds before the pally even realized what happened (totally possible).
- There was a 2nd screenshot full of swearing/trash talking about how the guy was killed for setting up dirty tps on others. I decided to omit it due to the amount of profanity in it.
- The druid is obviously using a bunch of hacks. (I don't know much about them but it looks tome like mh, chicken, pickit, and possibly others are among them so he isn't shy about abusing the game to his advantage)
- This guy killed at least 4-5 people under similarly mysterious circumstances, based on what I saw in aforementioned bragging threads.

So, we can all take this as we will as we (or at least I) don't know better but if you play on hc useast you may want to be on the lookout for this particular druid. Better safe than sorry :P.
