I left a note on one of the pages in the diablowiki but maybe it is better here?
I was about to add skill icons to the skill pages but I didn't want to do them all (as there are a lot) before it had been agreed what formatting it should take
http://diablo2.diablowiki.net/Magic_Arrow
For now I have put it at the top of the page but of course it looks lost there.
Does anyone have any ideas on how that should be formatted?
If you got rid of the second " Magic Arrow " title and moved the icon up above " Magic Arrow is a level 1 skill from the Amazon's Bow & Crossbow Skill Tree. " it would look better. There's really no sense in having two titles of the skills as I see on other skills. It would just look better.
Agree with Tidol.
Also, It would look nice if it were countersunk into the text. Like a dropped leading catipal (not sure how to describe it, I suppose I could edit a different skill page for comparison).
EDIT:
Have a look at this: http://diablo2.diablowiki.net/Fire_Arrow
The first instance of "Fire Arrow" is not in the page code.
I did the best I could without knowledge of how this code works. Is it much like HTML?
Edit2: What I made is a lot like what you linked to. Perhaps, we can just remove the second instance of "*** Arrow" and have the image dropped into the text. I just don't know how this code works.

I like that, as long as the text doesn't go below the image (at least the text explaining what it is "Fire Arrow is a level 1 skill from the Amazon's Bow & Crossbow Skill Tree") and it's to the side of it, it could look really could
Okay guys, leord and I have just gone over the individual skill pages and discussed how best to present all the info and also include an icon
http://diablo2.diablowiki.net/Magic_Arrow
That's what we came up with. It mirrors what's already in place for the Diablo 3 skills too.
As well as adding the right hand info box we have rejigged the page a bit. You can pick the code for the skill info box up from here
http://diablo2.diablowiki.net/Template:Skillbox
I just copied that first lot of yellow text and pasted it into the Magic Arrow page.
You'll see a few <noinclude> tags in the MA page. That's because portions of each individual skill page pull into the overall tree page, as you'll see in the Bow & Crossbow page
http://diablo2.diablowiki.net/Amazon...rossbow_Skills
....so we don't have to keep 2 places up to date. The <noinclude> keeps out some info.
Anyway, thoughts from you guys? Whadya think?

I don't know about you guys, but I really like the result. Especially considering a skill page can't really include THAT much information, really.
The Skillbox should be pretty simple to use. Basically just copy paste what's there, and use it. Should you have any questions just ask here.
As for the <noinclude> tags - They are also pretty straight forward: Just wrap the parts of the article that is NOT supposed to go to the main skill page with it. Take a look at what Elly did for clarification.
If it all seems complicated, check outHelp:Template to see how it all works.
I'm going back to finishing the [D2W]Acts[/D2W] now, so if someone could help Flinty to update all the D2 skills, that would be awesome!![]()
ok.
that looks much better than what I did. It's straight forward so I will (as soon as I get the free time) continue on the zon pages.
thanks!
