Need advice on dueling Windies with a Bone Nec.

Made a 125fcr/ 86 fhr/ 50dr/ Maxblock bone necro recently on ladder. I love him, and I can comfortably beat most classes I meet in duels other than the fact that..

Any decent wind druid will haul my old wrinkled behind all over the moor.

My best PvP char is a wind druid and I must admit I do the same to most necros. Im on the receiving end now however, and theres really nothing I can do when they keep jumping on me with minions, even with 50dr and 2.5k-ish life. I try moving around and teeth/ spear them, but the fact remains that they overpower me completely when they jump me.

The problem i find with teething the minions is that teeth has short range, and any windy in the range of my teeth can jump me. Spearing them from far does not work well either because minionstack can soak them. Not to mention how futile is it to throw spirits.

Any advice/tips/ tricks on dueling windies with a bone nec? Any input is appreciated.

The advantage any wind druid has over a bone necromancer is the ability to win a top on top duel, so the wind druid can play offensively without much fear, due to Tornado is an AoE damaging skill.

A tactic that should give rise to a great success as a bone necromancer against the more nooby wind druids, i.e. those who can only tele on top, and nado, or tele away, resummon and retry, is to, while you have made your distance, i.e. letting hime come to you, is creating a field of bone spirits.

Bone spirits are slow, which is to your advantage, but you\'ve to make them a lot closer that your cast rate allows, doing this requires of you to shoot 2-3 spirits off, then teleport into your own spirit \"train\" and shoot more off, this way you can make a little area filled with bone spirits.

Stay in the front of this area, when the windy jumps you, he\'ll get hit like you were shooting spirits at 1 frame pr. attack and not 8 frames pr. attack, i.e. he won\'t stand a chance, even with all the meat shields he has.

However it is a duel to the advantage of the wind druid, any good druid will not just teleport on top of you, but will take advantage of any counter tactic you use, they always have the winner card in their hands and all you can do is to try to trick them by moves they have not seen before and therefore don\'t know how to respond to, adn won\'t figure it out fast enough.

That is - knowledge (experience, what you know, or if you like wisdom)
And intelligence (or ability to adapt, how fast you learn, etc.)

But yeah looks like there is really no consistent way to beat any good windy with bone nec. Just have to duel more windies and practise/adapt

But yeah looks like there is really no consistent way to beat any good windy with bone nec. Just have to duel more windies and practise/adapt

cast bone spirit lines and then tele on to the homing point when the druid starts to move at you so that they will pick up the druid when it teles onto you. when the druid gets within a screen, pre-emptively walk in a southward direction (like zons do), and fire teeth teeth/spear back up (depending on how many/which minions the druid has around). if its all timed correctly, the pre-casted spirits will lock onto the druid and supplement your spear/teeth. break away after a few step/casts and set up another spirit line. rinse and repeat.

you won't beat a druid with just tele; you need to use the walking strategy to counter the minion stack. you can use wsg/spear to enhance the desync

@tienje- Hey thanks that was really helpful. The main strat seems to be luring the druid to jump while im in my spirit fields. Can you elaborate further though, on the walking strat and WSG/spear?

wsg spear isn't absolutely necessary, and it will probably be too much to learn all at once, so just hold off on that for now
