Hi, i got 1 question, how does greif actually do any dmg? It barely has any dmg modifiers and i dont see how an ebotdz would do less dmg?Like can someone explain it to me, i tried but couldnt find anything.
It's the +damage mod.
The character screen doesn't show Grief damage properly, it seems to forget to apply off-weapon %ed (skills, auras, stats, non-weapon bonuses etc.) to its +dmg. That's a massive amount of damage, paladins can easily have more than 1000 off-weapon %ed, so you can add at least 4000 to the amount shown for them![]()

As previous people have mentioned, the main selling point of grief is the +damage mod it has.
From what I've heard this +damage mod isn't as good as others for most characters, but for smiter Paladins it is extremely useful. The reason is because when you use smite, that +damage is added on to smite. Since the most damaging of shields only have about 50 average damage, the 350+ that grief adds makes a huge difference.
