I've seen you in a couple of threads before, and this type of rationalization of your behaviour is typical of you it seems; you flame, nag and try to seem educated on the issue, but don't come up with any other reasons that ''you're just wrong I am right'' with nothing to back it up... you simply don't show any humility; nor explanation for your posts...
yes yes.. now I am off again.
I'm sorry Ancalagon, but this is not the case. I explained it briefly in my previous post. Timmy is guilty of miscalculating ES, but not because he assumes 75%. In actuality, he assumes 100% ES.
The reduction from 2k damage to 1.5k damage comes from Telekinesis. Timmy assumes all of the 2k damage is going to mana, and is being reduced by a maximized Telekinesis synergy.
I'm not one on a sorc and her es, but he split the 2K damage to 100 and 1.9K (95%). IDK fully how well TK figures in the mana, but initially it's still split with an assumption of 95% right?
And wouldn't 100% mana figure 2K from mana instead?
I just want to clear some things up ...
I wouldnt say indefinitely, or barely effecting her health either. Those 6 hammers with ES on are already around 600 health, which is considerable to a sorceress, and especially a sorc who puts all her stats into Energy600 on an 8K druid or 7k HP Barb vs 600 on an average 1500 - 2k max life sorc ... there's a difference. So do ES sorcs have it easier? Yes. But should they go in the fight with a cocky attitude and tank? Still not. That is what I am trying to say.
Or he can charge with poison and open wounds, preferably. Because they bypass it. This is why (proper, not crappy wannabe hybrid) Ghost sins are a bane to ES sorcs.
Charge with grief is probably a better choice than OW / Poison on a pally.
Grief physical doesnt bypass ES, but OW and poison bypass ES as you know and that counts for all melee characters.
Yeah I have killed a few pallys like this. They charge and I block one or two charges, have time to cast a Blizz and also launch one when I die from die facet. It's pretty common, paladins dont seem to notice this, only BvCs move out of the way quickly when they make a kill.

The fact that it doesn't bypass es is one of the reasons for it. That and the huge dmg. It pops ES and is the main way to kill them on a sorc. Otherwise they'll walk out of your hammers and / or just tele faster.Grief physical doesnt bypass ES, but OW and poison bypass ES as you know and that counts for all melee characters.
Even still, there's no reliable source of ow / poison to randomly slap on, but adding grief instantly helps out.
Suffice it to say, a pally doesn't have to just afk when he's done charging. While in fhr, you can be hammered or just charge locked. which ever.
Yeah its true, nothing viable OW / poison a hammer can switch for his setup just to charge with.
I guess I was just referring in general which attacks and kinds of damage works best vs sorcs. For a Hammer to substitute his stuff for Duress or a BM dracs just to desynch / charge with Grief is far fetched, so its more a BvC or Ghost thing. And in the case of poison, Venom from any Assassin or those bowzons that stack up poison SC's with their GA and Multi.
well no need for even a druess / dracs. Just a simple grief in from the hoto / wizzy and that's all you need right there. charge is synergized enough to boost that grief.
