FO/CL sorc questions

so, I've read the CL/FO sorc guide, by monk http://strategy.diabloii.net/news.php?id=562 but it's old. is there a new guide somewhere?

well anyway, need your thoughts on a few things, mostly gear related. I want to use her for some mfing. maybe not the best build, but I want to try it out. I have a orb-it-aller running with a Tal set and now I want to try something new.

So even if the Tal Set would be optimal, I won't use it because I think half the fun is getting new equipment and try out new stuff

Things I probably will use include;
- shako
- spirit shield
- rare fcr amu
- wartravs
- chance guards
- arachnind mesh
- nagel
- rare fcr ring

but the problem arises when I come to the weapon and armor, because I've made some calculations and I have a res problem.

enigma would be cool for nice mf, 2skill and str boost, which I will need for the spirit, but no res :(
viper is a possibility, because I have an upped 35@ res with a -4/4 light facet, but no mf :(
then last would be tal armor, nice mf and res, no skill :(

weapon

Hoto cool skill and res
wizzy super sweet res and fcr no skill and need 60 dex :( (have one hel'ed, but not going for max block with shield)
oculus nice mf, but I can't use it, the teleport makes me nuts
eschuta nice damage, no res :(

so I think it comes down to
nigma&wizzy vs. hoto&tal

which do you think would be best? or have I overlooked something?

I've heard it's inaccurate for some spells though. A Google search should provide you with some results as well.

Krem, well surely a CoH might be "better" than a nigma, but how about the lack of mf? and the same goes for hoto vs. wizzy, but the wizzy has so much more res, which I seem to lack.. don't take me wrong, I'm grateful for the input, but if you would care to elaborate for a fellow Etfer

Enigma is imo a waste on a normal sorc. CoH is cheaper and also comes with skills, MF and str, and it also has godly res.

With the res from CoH, you dont need the extra res from Wizzy. HotO --> More Damage

coh -> 25% mf
wizzy -> nice but no skills, and damage is toooooooo low
nigma -> your not 95% ES build, leave it alone
HotO -> nice res, sexy fcr, 3 skills, what NOT to like?

I use Enigma, the MF/str is too much to turn down. Life is great, you can run around damn fast too. And you save points because you don't have to get Telek/Tele.
