RANGER PALLY NEED HELP, few questions

Hello everyone, im remakin my ranger pally (on classic hc which changes things a bit but not too much i dont think. Ive made holy shocker ranger here before did fairly well got to like lvl 75) anyway got three important questions.

1.)does crush blow work on bows?
2.) before i used the ravenclaw bow thinkin holy shock splashed but now i read it doesnt, however does it splash holy freeze dmg or ONLY holy fire?
3.) lastly, i really like splash dmg, especially on classic hardcore, if holy fire my only choice, wats max dmg around with max holy fire and synergies?

thx for any advice i plan on remakin my classic hardcore ranger this weekend.

Crushing blow does work on bows, but at a much lower efficiency (I think it was 1/2).

I've never been a good one with number crunching, so I'll leave the rest to be answered by somebody else.

Kinky is right about CB, it works at 1/2 efficiency for ranged weapons. As for the splash damage, the Ravenclaw fires explosive arrows so it'll only splash fire damage with the explosion I'm afraid. Not sure about the max damage you can get, to be honest... I've made a little search and most of the classic rangers rely on Enchant from a sorceress and use Conviction as an aura instead, so it'll probably be unimpressive, never made a Holy Fire pala myself in the current patch.

ok thx for the imput, im thinkin about goin holy freeze zeal since one ive never done that and 2 its safe for hardcore

Yeah, explosive arrows only carre fire damage.

I recommend maxing holy fire with synergies and using demon machine together with razortail. Very good, yes
