Since I have to come into the office now to work instead of working from home, I can no longer play d2 while working from home so I found something else to do (besides checking this forum all day) with the introduction to monopolycitystreets. This eventually led into my time at home and playing d2 and now i dont have time for d2. The first couple of days and most people couldnt get on. 1.7 million on the first day, there servers couldnt handle it. Cheating gallore! Leaderboard has one person with over 1 trillion dollars, you start with 3 mill, after like 3-4 days. They are resetting the servers and game so everyone will be starting from scratch as of right now. So hopefully they have listened to all the comments and fixed the majority of the issues to balance the game. Overall it was fun, but very tedious. Having to click on buying a green house, place the house, click on buy property, click on buy green house, place the house and over and over. Should just be able to click by property, select the type of building you want, than deploy, deploy, deploy until your done. I hope that part gets fixed. I got up to 130mill, my rent received was 35 million last night, I bought one street and got a penalty card of 12 million, gawd. Bought three more streets and got another 8 million dollar penalty. Got down to 9,100,000 with out any more penalty cards and received another penalty chace card of 9,078,000 which left me with only 22k, not even enough to buy a small green house. Out of 35 million in rent, i received 29 million in penalties! That's gotta be fixed, something like maybe a penalty like crushing blow, 25% of your total cash etc would seem more balanced. No chat system, no alliance options. Needs a lot of work.
I had some properties in a smallish town with about another 9 investors and someone there sabotaged me, they sold there current streets for more $, bought more streets there and got enough cards to piss me off. So, I bought the whole town, every single street, one street was for like 107k, i couldnt even put a house on it as it was so small. Had fun doing it, the guy certainly cant sell and buy any more in that town, i was planning on offering to buy him right out of the town, but that was b4 the massive penalties. I would've liked to seen there faces last night when they went back to there properties to see there wasn't a single street for sale within 30 miles, lol.
I dont plan on doing that after this reset, I've learned a couple of things. Another thing that bothers me is the lack of game info in relation to building sizes, what can be placed where. Some hazards like a prison will fit in one spot where a sewage treatment plant will not. Some spots I can't place a 150k building in but I can place a 400k building there? Yeah, you can kinda see that the one building is tall and lean, smaller footprint, where the 150k building is shorter and more fat looking. But some fyi's, come on. Gotta give some details. Anyhow I look to see everyones comments if they are playing, problems they seen, maybe build a diii.net alliance anyone??

Wow, talk about hacking... 24 hours after the servers have been reset and one guy already has $884 million while owning three streets. Started yesterday with $3 million, got another million plus his rent today and has "earned" $880 million on top of it...
wow! Goes to show that hackers can and will hack anything!
Apparently people are making multiple accounts and then running scripts allowing all of those accounts to constantly trade with one another as well as buying up new streets.
The guy I mentioned with $880 million is now in 2nd place... the holder of the #1 spot has $2.2 billion.
I have a feeling this game will be remembered as an example of how not to do things.
Yeah i thought they were going to be watching these guys and deleting there accts. It's a free game anyhow, what can you expect. I sure when the free portion is over there will be a pay to play version, but until they can correct the hacking they wont be getting a dime from me.
