I'm not going to give any additional details, just a 'solution'
Here's the solution:
For those who are experiencing the error 'Unable to load D2MultiRes.dll download the following (google is your friend).
'Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package' available for both x86 and x64
I experienced this problem for a long time and couldn't find information anywhere on the internet except for a chinese forum which required google translation + a good reading dexterity which is WHY I've decided to post this information on a popular Diablo forum.
Hope this fixes the problem for people.

hold on a minute... what's goin on here exactly??? 800X600+ resolution? wut wut O.o .... someone's haxing ;]
Well you got your post edited by a Mod, so I guess you violate forum regulation. The multires has been mentioned before though and you can probably play with it, but only on SP and not able to trade with other people from here on SP. Playing with it on Bnet is plain risky imo.
wtf why were the links removed they weren't illegal/malicious files!?
+ I need to update the first post with a little more detail.
It may have been my first post and I may be a 'n00b' to you but people have created threads about the multires addon on this forum before.
The reason for creating this thread is to help those who have experienced this error before + the links exist to make it easier for them.
Those links may be legit, but D2's max resolution is 800 x 600.
Anything higher than that is crossing over into the shady area of modding the game beyond what it's meant for. It also gives an unfair advantage over people who are playing normally in that users of a higher resolution than the game is supposed to have are seeing more of the screen than everyone else. Though the files are not a hack, using them in d2 would be cheating and therefore it's not allowed here.

I'm sorry, but like I stated earlier in this thread, we do not offer any support regarding game resolutions beyond what the game was created for by Blizzard.
For help in this area those concerned need to take the questions to another forum that supports such.
