How do You pronounce Pho?
I'm hungry
Na-na-na Na-na-na.
Na-na-na.
Na-na-na...
Hush!
Hush!
It's a great lyric.
This is the guy that wrote it
and this is the version I love from when I was a kid.
Lets face it. Most of you can't really write great lyrics like that.
But Hell it's Gospel at the Core
Hush, hush, somebody's calling my name!
But the Na-na-na's are the Real Lyrics.

DP did a great cover of River Deep, Mountain High around that time. Marvellous.
No linky cos I is working and there be no time for linky during worky![]()
I used to listen to Deep Purple when I was a teenager and going through a "classic rock phase." This started with The Doors and quickly spread to Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, Cream, Dylan, Joplin, The Who, Pink Floyd, Neil Young, Moody Blues, Queen, Elton John, David Bowie... and probably 50 others that my low blood to coffee ratio isn't allowing me to recall at the moment. Some of these artists have stuck with me my whole life; others peeled away for various reasons. Deep Purple was one of the latter and I've never really figured out why.
I should really like them, but for some reason they tend to bore me. Strange.![]()
There are a number of DP songs that have stayed with me over the years.
Most of Made In Japan, which I ate, slept and breathed at the time, was slipped into the past but there are a few tracks which I love as much now as I did then - Woman From Tokyo, The Mule (studio version, not the live one), Never Before and a few others. This isn't a case of nostalgic love, it's the real deal. I get what you mean though, some bands and albums have simply not lasted the course for me.
I'm more of a squirrel where music is concerned, I don't really "move on" as such, I just add to what I listen to. For instance, I was hearing Pretties for You and Easy Action by Alice Cooper when those albums came out and I still listen to them today. This is in addition to stuff that is being released right now, I'm not stuck in any particular era.
I love DP but the one DP member I'm CRAZY About is not well known compared to most of the others.
Meh
As grandpa used to say, thats what makes horse racing.
